currently watching place beyond the pines…
no where close to the director’s previous work in blue valentine, but (maybe stupidly) this was one of the few movies that reminded me even vaguely of pulp fiction in its jump between characters in service of a larger story, which i loved. a lot of the dialogue and direction reminded me of blue valentine, which was again great. i feel tho...
